[comp.windows.x] xterm: "no available pty's"

Hello,

I have problems with xterm.

Configuration:

      386-PC with ----   Ethernet ---       Mips
      X11R3                                 xterm (X11R3)

xterm is running on Mips-Host and displaying to the Display of the PC.

I get the error:  "No available pty's"

I have checked, that the pty's used by xterm (described in the
Porting-Description  are available under /dev .

What could be wrong ?

Any help ???
