I would like to propose a net.works.whitechapel, or mod.... for discussions about the Whitechapel Computer Works MG1 workstation and its derivatives. To start off , here is some info: MG1 is based on the 32016 chip, has a 1024 by 800 bitmap screen, mouse and 4.2BSD. We have 21 of them and are also looking at the forthcoming colour machine. We'd like to hear from others with MG1's to discuss any problems, to exchange software, maybe to meet at conferences etc. We can offer one or two bits of software, including a screen dump for the Anadex printer and the QMS Lasergraphic 800/1200, 'plot' library for the MG1 and for the LG800, and more. We are looking in particular for fonts for the qtroff package that comes with the LG800, a LISP implementation, and a Modula 2. I agree they sound like neat machines. But I don't see the point in shipping a newsgroup across the waters until the machine gets distributed in the states. -- David Herron, cbosgd!ukma!david, david@UKMA.BITNET, david@uky.csnet ^ Notice new and improved address---| Postmaster for Kentucky "'New and improved' is a misnomer" -- David Herron, 1986
