Does anyone know of any public domain utilities for recording and playing back X events? Perhaps some customization of xscope, xmon, or similar utility? Any information on this is appreciated. You can try out the XTrap kit available on export.lcs.mit.edu via anonymous ftp in the contrib directory. You will need to rebuild your X11R4 server to use and must have an X11R4 source tree in order to do this. Included in the kit are some simple record and playback programs that might help you out. They are free, but they are not sophisticated. Sophisticated record/playback is going to cost you I'm afraid as it is a significantly non-trivial engineering task. -- Dan Coutu coutu@decvax.dec.com Open Systems Group (ULTRIX) "'...he who will not risk, cannot win.'
