I posted this once, but did not see it show up, so I will try again. I am trying to compile X11 R4 on a Sun 3/280 running (ughh) Sun OS 3.2. There appear to be some severe problems compiling the server libraries and source. Here is a sample of the errors: cc -c -I../../../. -I. -I../mfb -I../mi -I../../include -I../../.././X11 -DXDMCP -DSHAPE -DMITSHM -DMULTIBUFFER -DMITMISC cfbbitblt.c "cfbbitblt.c", line 1212: compiler error: no table entry for op REG *** Error code 1 ...and... cc -c -I../../../. -I. -I../mfb -I../mi -I../../include -I../../.././X11 -DXDMCP -DSHAPE -DMITSHM -DMULTIBUFFER -DMITMISC sunCG3C.c "sunCG3C.c", line 463: CG3AC_MONOLEN undefined "sunCG3C.c", line 464: CG3AC_ENBLEN undefined "sunCG3C.c", line 480: CG3BC_MONOLEN undefined "sunCG3C.c", line 481: CG3BC_ENBLEN undefined *** Error code 1 I think I have overheard that this is a familiar problem on this machine. Please forgive me if it has been dealt with before...you can just send me email. Is there a way to patch, define, or otherwise wiggle my way into getting the R4 Sun server built on this machine?
