A bunch of stuff about EMACS and xterm and R4
Some of that was good stuff. However, none of it helped me much.
I have read the FAQ in comp.windows.x but I haven't seen a FAQ in
gnu.emacs.help....so here goes:
I can invoke EMACS for X (i.e. emacs as an X client) perfectly fine on the
host machine.
However, when I try to invoke an emacs client on a remote host to use
my display...it says "X server not responding".
Does anyone know WHY? I can run an xterm no problem within the same
shell process that emacs bombs out on.
Replies either by mail or note the Followup-To line. Thanks!

A person was frighteningly ugly. Once he was asked how could he go on
living with such a terrible face. "Why should I be unhappy?", answered
the man. "I never see my own face; let others worry."
