I'm not real familiar with X programming, so this is liable to be real simple: I'm trying to compile xmail on a Sun SPARC 1 running SunOS 4.0.3, soon to upgrade to 4.1. However, I can compile xmail fine, but when I run it, it does not quite work like I thought. If their is no mail waiting, nothing is wrong. However if mail is waiting, or I try to look at any new mail that comes in while I am using xmail, the message 'Establishing Connections' comes up in the middle bar and then xmail hangs. I'm running it under X11R4 with all of the patches (1-14). Am I just missing something obvious, or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I got it from uunet.uu.net in /comp.sources.x/volume6/xmail/part0{1 2 3 4 5 6} /comp.sources.x/volume7/xmail/patch1.0{1 2 3 4 5} The patches are shar files and must be unshared and then cat together to run correctly. To more acurately specify my problem, xmail core dumps whenever I try to open a folder. (They aren't that big). I couldn't find xmail in export.lcs.mit.edu (generally, my X FTP site). Where is it archived? Is there a motif-based xmail out there? Any help is greatly appreciated.
