Is there an interactive font editor under X, similar to SunView 'fontedit' ? Someone told me to look for 'xfed' under X11R4 tape 'contrib' part, but there is nothing there. Also, there is a directory under mit/doc called BDF and in it a file called 'bdf.mss'. How can one print it? It's not 'nroff -ms', so what is it? -- TIA, -- Amir J. Date: 9 May 91 10:24:11 GMT From: amir@taux01.nsc.com (Amir J. Katz (Xpert)) Someone told me to look for 'xfed' under X11R4 tape 'contrib' part, but there is nothing there. The exact directory is "contrib/clients/xfed", and it is on tape 2 (of 4) of the Release 4 distribution. Trust me. Also, there is a directory under mit/doc called BDF and in it a file called 'bdf.mss'. How can one print it? It's not 'nroff -ms', so what is it? ".mss" is the suffix for Scribe source, so this file is not very useful. Instead, use mit/hardcopy/BDF/BDF.PS, which is a PostScript version of the same paper. < Stephen MIT X Consortium
