The patch that brings kterm to patchlevel 7 does not fix any bugs. It adds a feature. Due to potentially annoying behavior when tab and newline preservation in selections is being done in kterm, I've added a command line switch and a VT menu entry to toggle this feature on and off. Problems occur when in situations like two kterm sessions are running and vi running in both of them. If the mouse is used to copy text from one kterm to another, the text will be messed up when it is pasted. This happens when the tab and newline preservation is active. If preservation is not active, then kterm will copy and paste like it normally does. The patches have been sent to comp.sources.x and, as always, the updated kterm is available by anonymous ftp from: crl.nmsu.edu:pub/misc/kterm-4.1.2.tar.Z [128.123.1.14] export.lcs.mit.edu:contrib/kterm-4.1.2.tar.Z [18.30.0.238] kum.kaist.ac.kr:pub/unix/Xstuffs/kterm-4.1.2.tar.Z [137.68.1.65] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- mleisher@nmsu.edu "I laughed.
