[comp.windows.x] MIT X11R4 Xqdss under ultrix 4.1?

merlyn@iwarp.intel.com (Randal L. Schwartz) (05/18/91)

I can't seem to get Xqdss to compile under Ultrix 4.1 with pretty much
the stock settings. If someone has done this successfully, could they
please drop me a line. (I checked the FAQ and didn't see anything
about this... and Xqvss compiles just fine.)

I also needed to futz with /usr/include/stdio.h to delete a cast that
is used as an lvalue in xterm's main.c. Why did the Ultrix people
sneak in this cast? The same file on SunOs4.1 doesn't need the cast.

Just another X-terminator, :-)
