I've been told what we're trying to do is weird, but it makes sense
to me, so maybe somebody can help me out.
We've got several large applications implemented in SunView being
used internally here, and we want to port them to X. We've pretty
much decided to use a Motif toolkit to do this, for a number of reasons,
not the least of which is the possibility we will want to port these
tools to non-Sun workstations at a later date. So we're shopping
around for Motif toolkits as well as Motif GUI builders.
Since our initial users are going to be using Suns, most likely
running olwm, we want our UI developers who are doing the porting
to do their work in olwm as well. So we need a Motif GUI builder
that is supported to run in an Open Look environment.
Any suggestions? TeleUse is not supported in that environment, and
so far we're having some problems with UIM/X as well. We also would
like to know if anyone knows of any pitfalls with running Motif
applications in Open Look, widgets that don't work, etc.
