I would like to restart twm without relying on the the f.restart function in the window manager. This is because an error in the .twmrc file may cause twm to stop reading the startup file before it reaches the key or mouse mapping for f.restart. In such a case, the only way to regain control is to kill twm. Can I use kill to send a particular restart signal? I can't find any reference to this in either the man page nor the FAQ. I am using the MIT X server, Release 4, on a SparcStation 1+, SunOS 4.0.3.
