[comp.windows.x] kterm and colour, does it work?

Having grabbed kterm from comp.sources.x a short while ago I was happy to
see it supported colour. However, I have been unable to get a peep(?) of
colour out of it. Yes, I compiled it with COLOR_TEXT on as per
instructions. Since there is a colortest file supplied, doesn't it actually
_display_ colours rather than just accept the escape sequences without
complaining? Can anyone offer any suggestions please?
