> Does anyone know what causes the "sequence lost" messages from XlibInt.c?
If it just said "sequence lost" and not
"Xlib: sequence lost (0x%lx > 0x%lx) in reply type 0x%x!"
Then you are running and R2 Xlib. In either case, it means that you are
running a server that has somehow forgotten to put the sequence number in an
event packet. If you are using R3 and can repeat this, please send a note
to xbugs.

I have been seeing a problem while running an xterm from a DEC 5500 which is running Ultrix 4.1 to a SUN 4/330 running 4.1.1 and Openwindows 2.0 ( the display ). I keep getting "Xlib: sequence lost (0x1026c > 0x26f ) in reply type 0x9!" when i try to move the resulting xterm window on my sun. Any ideas? PS... the xterm does come up -- unfortunately, can't resize or even use any of the menu selections. -- Jim Ray Harris Semiconductor Internet: jdr@semi.harris.com PO Box 883 MS 62B-022 Phone: (407) 729-5059 Melbourne, FL 32901
