A friend of mine, who cannot reach xpert mailbox, is developing an
application on INTERACTIVE v2.2 using the Motif toolkit (provided by
INTERACTIVE: X11/Motif v1.0). The application interfaces to an INGRES
database. The X11 server is R3 while the Motif toolkit is supposed to
be OSF v1.0.
The application is randomically crashing with the below error:
XIO: fatal IO error 6 on X server "unix:0.0": No such device
or address after NNN requests (NNN known processed) with 0 events
remaining. The connection was probably broken by a
server shutdown or KillClient.
Using sdb he discovered that the application is probably crashing while
performing a call to Xflush which seems to get the right parameter.
As far as he knows this is not a bug known by INTERACTIVE.
I'd like to know whether somebody had a similar problem.
