Apologies to comp.graphics purists... I need to display a series of images which have been quantized 8 bits using a specific color map. Each image has a different color map. I want to display these images in rapid succession - like frames of a movie. The format of the images is Utah Raster Toolkit's RLE format, though I can convert them to GIF, TIFF or most other formats. I've been using the Utah Raster Toolkit's X11 display program (getx11) to display the unquantized versions of these images. Quantization really helps in clarity on my 8 bit display, but getx11 can't deal with images of varying color maps. Any suggestions for display programs would be greatly appreciated.
