I have an application running on a Sun 4/330 under X11R4 that I wish to run from a DEC VAXstation 3100 running ultrix, X11R3. The major problem is that the rgb database files are different for the VAXstation and the Sun. Is there some way to dynamically change the rgb database to use on the VAXstation? I cannot arbitrarily change the rgb database on the VAXstation for two reasons: the X server starts at boot time and runs all the time; and there are several applications that require the original DEC rgb database. One brute force fix would be to combine the Sun and DEC rgb databases into a single database, common for both machines. For several reasons this is not agreeable. (By the way, this would work, wouldn't it?) Thanks, Tom McConnell -- Tom McConnell | Internet: tmcconne@sedona.intel.com Intel, Corp. C3-21 | Phone: (602)-554-8229 5000 W.
