pardon my ignorance - does SUN manufacture an X-window terminal? If so, how does it compare with the DEC X-window terminal (1200)? thanks tanm@seneca.bst.rochester.edu

Not any more. Before it was discontinued, they called it a 3/50 :-)
Many folks find that a cheap, used 3/50 running something called
Xkernel makes a very serviceable X terminal. See answer 67 on the FAQ
list for details.

I'm not familiar with any benchmark results, but it almost certainly
wins the price comparison. Especially if you have some lying around
collecting dust.
