I have a sparcstation that I would like to use to make x connections over standard dialup phone lines. Two solutions immediately come to mind: 1) Some sort of phone line network bridge 2) Software that allows x connections over serial lines I'm sure both of these must exist in some form, somewhere. can anyone out there supply some information on this? I've heard of some software called Xremote, but only in connection with NCD terminals. Is it just for ncd terminals, or is there something similar for a sparcstation? Also, if the phone line network bridge is feasible (and has useable performance), how expensive is it? I've heard of things called Telebit Netblazer and SLIP; what are they and where do I get information on them? Any help would be appreciated; i'd prefer an email response (to clagett@cs.unc.edu or whcv@wisdom.attmail.com), as the volume in this newsgroup prevents me from reading it regularly. Thanks in advance, Bruce Clagett clagett@cs.unc.edu or whcv@wisdom.attmail.com
