OpenWindows 2.0, SunOS 4.1.1, MIT X11R4 Patch 18 xterm When I have a xterm on the screen, I get an increasing number of 'no-focus' type text cursors. That is, when I first leave the xterm window, my text cursor turns hollow. The longer the xterm remains - especially if the xterm is 'under' one or more other windows, there are randomly placed hollow text cursors scattered all over the screen. Has anyone else seen this behavior and know what can be done to fix it? Refreshing the screen makes the phantoms go away - but I would like to eliminate them altogether. Also, I have been told that last fall or longer ago someone posted a mod to xterm so that text that wrapped around two or more lines was treated as a single line. Does anyone have this modification? -- Larry W. I've never figured out how to get around it, but if you start your xterms with the -ah flag, xterm won't try to use the hollow cursor when it loses focus, and you won't see the phantom cursors all over the screen.
