[comp.windows.x] Passing Keyboard events to a different window

I am trying in an application to receive KeyEvents in any child window of
the main window and pass them to one child window that is to be used as an
input window for all key strokes. I would rather not have to get into
sending client messages. Is there some simple way to do this with
XSendEvent?
