I (almost) NEVER read news articles which have cutesy embedded ^L form-feeds in them. No, not by choice-- I have a terminal with 40 lines, and most of the people who put in ^L's think that the whole world has terminals with only 24 lines, just like their's does. So I see the entire article flash for a brief instant before the screen clears. There are ways I could get around the problem, but reading news on a 40-line screen is usually nicer than 24 lines.

It's a shame I can't use my terminal to its full 132 column mode either. Anyone know if a future version of news will have dynamic text that will reformat to fit the size of the screen? -- Kenneth Ng: uucp(unreliable) ihnp4!allegra!bellcore!njitcccc!ken bitnet(prefered) ken@njitcccc.bitnet New Jersey Institute of Technology Computerized Conferencing and Communications Center Newark, New Jersey 07102 Vulcan jealousy: "I fail to see the logic in prefering Stonn over me" Number 5: "I need input"
