Depending on what you mean by slides, I use either the capture
function under FRAME to take a snapshot of my (1 bit) X display or I
use the xwd utility and a postscript convertor to spit out postscript
and send that to a Postcript laser printer to make overhead slides.
(Feed copier transparency material through instead of paper - works well)
If you want 35mm slide quality, and color you get into the image
processing ballgame and you need a means of making hardcopy. The pbm
utilities provide a lot of format conversions and Khoros (unm.pprg.edu)
provides several conversion utilities as well as lots of image processing
capability.
