[comp.windows.x] Software tools for graphical user interfaces

kostka@darmstadt.gmd.de (Bernd Kostka) (06/20/91)

I am looking for information concerning software that helps programming
user interfaces that use graphics.

Typically, user interface builders (with graphics, i.e. more than just
texts, buttons, and scrollbars) would fall into this category,
perhaps a nice editor for nets with a good software interface, and
the like.

The software should run on Sun workstations and it should be based on X11.
(But something on the basis of NeWS could also prove interesting for us.)

This could be an X Toolkit supporting graphics, or other products on top
of an existing Toolkit (preferrably OSF/Motif).

If possible, please provide technical information, prices, info about
whom to contact, etc.

Thank you.
Bernd Kostka

Contact Trident Systems Inc. for product information on XGuide.
There phone number is (703)273-1012. Ask for Dave Britton and tell them Jon
gave you the information. XGuide is a prototyping tool that let's you build
graphical objects that act as custom widgets.
