The R4 ICCCM makes this comment about pseudo-root windows: o The pseudo-root facility in the earlier draft has been removed. Although it has been successfully implemented, it turns out to be inadequate to support the uses envisaged. An extension will be required to support these uses fully, and it was felt that the maximum free- dom should be left to the designers of the extension... Can someone tell me whether this extension was ever written, or what other pseudo-root facilities are out there? Thanks, -- Al Petrofsky sono!al@sun.com
