Tower claims, regarding GNU:
> Can one legally restrict use by others? No
The GNU Manifesto is required to accompany any copies I wish to
distribute, whether I like it or not. Ignoring the fact that my
lawyer claims this is not enforceable, it is a clear attempt to
restrict use.
Scenario: A competitor of mine talks me out of a copy of GNU
("one big happy family"), and then later claims he didn't get
the GNU Manifesto. He informs rms (or whoever licenses GNU),
and I get a call from his lawyers.
Who needs the aggravation?
