I think you guys are being a little silly. The GNU stuff costs $150 if you get it directly from the GNU people. If you get a copy of from one of your friends it is *FREE* ! The GNU restrictions concerning re-distribution are trivial, though I admit that they seem a little odd. If you are really worried about RMS and crew coming after you for making incomplete copies of the GNU distribution, don't make any. You don't have to agree with Stallman's politics the think the GNU stuff is great. MINIX sounds quite exciting. I gave up on IBM PCs years ago when Macs came out. Now I may have to get one just to check MINIX out. I think the relationship between MINIX and GNU should be friendly. I Impatiently await the first port of GNU EMACS, BISON, etc. to MINIX.
