I am continually amazed at the incredible level of crap in this newsgroup. People are talking about all kinds of "fixes"/"improvements"/"enhancements" to minix without even looking at it!! Some people are posting what they believe to be legitimate bug reports - OK, no real problem there. But the folks talking about MULTICS virtual memory, complaining about features they "think" it might have or not have, and just outgassing in general are simply reinforcing my image of what usually happens on these groups: Person A says something silly, ignorant, or insipid, betraying the quality of his "computer science *education*" (doing it great courtesy), and immediately, 15 other people chime in trying to prove (usually sucessfully) they are even more silly, ignorant, or insipid. If you really understand the issues at work here, hop right in - there are a great many things to discuss. However, if you *really* don't know much beyond chapter 2 of the Unix programmer's manual, get the book, read it, and read the code. Then you'll have something to say. Quick Sherman!
