I am totally hardware illiterate, hence this question: How much of EMS is software controlled, and how much hardware ? Can MINIX cope with the Intel clone I am considering buying ? Will I need to cook up a device driver for it ? Can I ? Is there a written spec that would help in this process ? --mjr() -- Copyright, 1987 - Anarchist Software Foundation - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED In reproducing this document in any form, the licensee (you) agrees to pay the ASF 5$/copy distributed, and to admit that software law is a subject better left for lawyers and slimy nerds. A very useful enhancement to the RAM disk driver, however, would be EMS support. This would not even be very difficult. Too bad I don't have any EMS. An EMS RAM disk would give another 240K for programs. You could even run a second user. -- Stuart D. Gathman <..!seismo!dgis!bms-at!stuart>
