The hard disk fix posted by Larry R. Hubble works with my AT (from IBM) and
Seagate 4026 with IBM controller!
With the fix, I copied all the MINIX source code into hard disk, and recompiled
the whole system a couple of times -- all without a problem! I also changed the
value of MAX_WIN_RETRY to be much larger, but I am not sure this is a good
practice or not.
With the hard disk working, I really enjoy MINIX. I didn't get an empty system
-- I got all the source code, and even a nice book telling me what's inside!
I will stick with MINIX!
