[comp.os.minix] PC simulation for Minix

radford@calgary.UUCP (Radford Neal) (05/01/87)

According to various blurbs, Minix comes with a PC simulator so that
you can run the software on a Vax or whatever if you wish. I also
recall mention of the capability for running certain parts of the
kernel (e.g. file system) in a Vax environment.

Does anyone have this software? If so, how well does it work?

My order for the tar tape of MINIX has been back-ordered for several months
now. I keep getting notices about the delivery date being pushed further
and further back. First it was March, then April, now May, ....
