Does anyone have any experience with, or even just information on, the Modular Circuit Technologies "MCT-HDC" hard disk controller? This is the controller sold by JDR Microdevices with their Seagate 20 MB hard disks. I can find no information on MCT, and have only seen their products sold by JDR, although the MCT products I have seem to have unusually good firmware. Nevertheless, the hard disk controller ICs on the board are just labelled "HDC 9224" and "HDC 9225", have the initials SMC, and the manufacture date; that's all. This does not seem to correspond with any of the controllers I've seen mentioned in this newsgroup to date. This may be a Tiawanese or Korean product, though there is a company in California named "MCT" (who has not answered queries I have mailed them about this disk controller). If anyone knows anything about this board at all, please email me; I'll summarize.
