This might have been discussed before, but then I must have missed it. I am trying to copy files from MINIX file system to PC-DOS file system. I am using 'doswrite 0/1 destination < source'. Sometimes this succeeds and at other times the system hangs. Keyboard echos, F1 and F2 display the doswrite process running along with the rest of the system but both of the floppies' lights are off and I get no prompt. Ctrl-C, Ctrl-\, Ctrl-Break don't kill the process. (What is the DEL key on KB5151 keyboard?) The only way out is to reboot. I am running on an unmodified MINIX system. If it makes any difference, I did a 'cd /bin', before doing 'doswrite 1 cat < cat'. Next time I did 'doswrite 1 cat.com < cat' which succeeded, but the next doswrite hanged the system again. I appreciate any help on this matter.
