Could someone please help me in understanding what constitutes MINIX 1.2.
Last week ast posted some changes to MINIX 1.1 in the form of diffs and
complete source files. It is my understanding that these files were contained
in four separate postings:
o One for commands updates
o One for kernel updates
o One for fs updates
o One for mm updates
Were there other postings besides these?
COMMANDS
AST posted a list of source files for commands in a READ_ME. This list has 34
entries. I received the following in my commands update:
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 3611 Jul 6 11:56 cpdir.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 4363 Jul 6 11:56 du.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 2763 Jul 6 11:56 expr.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 12314 Jul 6 11:56 find.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 3506 Jul 6 11:56 fix.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 4523 Jul 6 11:56 more.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 14451 Jul 6 11:56 readfs.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 4115 Jul 6 11:56 test.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 3393 Jul 6 11:56 uudecode.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 1822 Jul 6 11:56 uuencode.c
Where are the other 24 files (diffs) which constitute my understanding of a
complete MINIX 1.2 as far as commands goes?
The find.c that I received has 12314 bytes. In ast's listing find.c is 28692.
Where can I get the 28692 byte version of find.c. I assume that this is the
correct one.
KERNEL
I received the following files in the kernel posting:
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 9903 Jul 2 16:17 printer.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 13068 Jul 2 16:17 proc.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 47699 Jul 2 16:18 tty.c
Does this represent the complete source (diffs) for kernel? If not, where can
I get the remaining source (diffs) for kernel?
FS
I received the following files in the fs posting:
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 5520 Jul 2 16:08 link.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 7360 Jul 2 16:08 misc.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 8710 Jul 2 16:08 pipe.c
Does this represent the complete source (diffs) for fs? If not, where can I
get the remaining source (diffs) for fs?
MM
I received the following files in the mm posting:
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 9343 Jul 2 16:12 forkexit.c
-rw-r--r-- 1 boh 13441 Jul 2 16:12 signal.c
Does this represent the complete source (diffs) for mm? If not, where can I
get the remaining source (diffs) for mm?
I apologize if this is repetitious. I know other have posted messages in
comp.os.minix lately concerning this very subject but some of the info. has
been misleading.
Thanks in advance,
Brian O'Halloran
