[comp.os.minix] Minix on Digital's VAXmate?

Does such an animal exist?

I just tried to boot minix v1.1. The boot diskette started ok, but when I
inserted the root file system and pressed '=' everything went dead.  The
same diskettes worked OK on a I*M XT and a Compam PC-511. 

Any suggestions?
