Friendly netlandians: Back When I sent my money off to P-H for a bona fide set of Minix 1.1 disks for the XT clone I then owned. I also started keeping an archive of *some* of the comp.os.minix articles (the ones that seemed to be pertinent to the configuration I then had). I had 1.1 running, though I never did manage to get the hard disk going on my Z-158 w/ ST-238, Adaptec 2070a. Then I dropped out of the Minix scene for a while. Now I have a new machine (Club 286-10 w/ Toshiba 72MB hd), and I'd like to get going again with Minix. Meanwhile 1.2 is out there in the world and going strong. People all over the lot have AT clones with hard disks running it, I'm sure. Since the distribution policy for Minix is what it is, I don't think it would bend anyone's principles for me to seek a kind soul who'd be willing to send me a set of AT disks. I'd naturally provide (or replace) the disks themselves, and I'd be quite willing to cover other out-of-pockets plus something for your time. But I'm not keen on putting another $80 (plus tax, apparently!) plus god knows how much time into P-H's pockets. If you can help me out, please send e-mail to the address below (the internet form seems to work best) so we can complete arrangements. ==ARPA:===============anderson@vms.macc.wisc.edu===Jess Anderson====== | UUCP: {harvard, seismo, rutgers, (avoid ihnp4!) 1210 W.
