I've gotten Minix 1.1 up and running on my Televideo 8 MHz AT. So far, the only problems I have noticed are a scrolling bug on the video (I've got a Tecmar Graphics Master), the hard disk doesn't work at all (even with at_wini.c) and the printer doesn't work (although it does reset). So other than fixing those things, I want to upgrade to 1.2 and get all kinds of nifty things running from the net. I've looked at the stuff on bugs.nosc.mil but there's SO much - is taking the definitive 1.2 upgrades and working with the stuff that's been posted after that really what I want to do to get myself caught up with all of you? Or will I miss something if I don't take the stuff before the 1.2 upgrades? Presumably after I catch up maybe my printer and video will begin working (I see some similar problems), and maybe even my hard disk will start working, although I don't have as high hopes for that (but I'm sure I can fix it). Some suggestions, please? Josh [ I'm sending this from a friend's account on another machine, since News doesn't seem to ever leave mine these days. It receives fine, however, so please send any replies there (to one of the addresses below)... ] -- Josh Sirota INTERNET: joss@tut.cc.rochester.edu BITNET: joss_ss@uordbv.bitnet ur-tut!joss@cs.rochester.edu UUCP: ...!rochester!ur-tut!joss
