I finally got Minix working on my Western Digital Controller with Tandon Tm262 20Mb hard disk. I had to redo Fdisk and Diskfix to recognize that newer versions of DOS use a 4 in Partition 4 instead of a 1 in Partition 1 to mark a DOS partition. Anyway, I have the whole disk to dedicate to MINIX, and since it's drive D, I use /dev/hd5 as the partition. BUT, although I calculate the size to be about 20000 blocks, mkfs won't go greater than 10400. Is there a size limit to disks in Minix? I know I can split it into two partitions, and I've done that, But I just wondered what was happening? The disk does seem to be working OK, no crashes or anything. Just small! -Scott -- =============================================================================== Scott A.
