QUICK QUESTION: How do I bring up MINIX on a 1 floppy and Hard Disk system? I have one floppy and 2 hardisks. When I try to umount the floppy, I get "device busy" message. Therefore I can't use any of the other MINIX disks; please do not tell me of a bug fix, since I can't even get at the source disks! I also can't seem to access the hard disk. (I've tried "mkfs /dev/hd1", even after using chmem =BIG_NUMBER, but I still can't write to the hd). (by the way I have 2 Hard drives, /dev/hd0 is MSDOS). /dev/hd1 is to be all MINIX. THANKS FOR ANY HELP! -- ---> geoffs@brl.arpa --

You are probably getting device busy because you are connected to one of its directories. Do a "cd /" so you ar in the ram disk and then you can umount and mount fd0 all you want. \n -- "I am the Lorvax.
