Hi. If this sounds like a naive question, please bear with me. I'm not familiar with Usenet or Unix, being a denizen of Arpaland and Xerox Lisp machines. I'm getting an Atari ST4 for use at home and will be getting Minix for it just as soon as it reaches the UK. Will I be able to plug into Usenet (mail and news) using Minix? Is anyone out there reading this message reading it at home on a Minix machine via Usenet? I realise that I will need to find a local Usenet node to hook up to, but I should be able to arrange that. I guess there will also be problems with the way news is fed through (I gather you either get the whole lot or nothing at all), but all I really want is a uucp mail address at home, I could live without news. BTW, is info-minix bidirectionally cross posted with comp.os.minix? I'm fairly sure that postings to info-minix reach comp.os.minix, but do postings to comp.os.minix make it to info-minix? -- Hugh Arpa: Hippo.SBDERX@Xerox.COM UUCP: Probably something to do with parcvax with lots of !'s in it.
