I found some information that may solve some problems with Minix installation. (you may want to re-post this to info-minix) Many low-cost AT clones are sold with a 8-bit hard drive controller instead of a 16-bit hard drive controller. This may affect proper configuration of Minix. Which hard drive controller should be used in that case? I know of at least one Leading Edge D2 (AT-Clone) that had this though I don't think it is standard policy of Leading Edge to do that. It it may have been a situation where the customer bought a diskless D2 and added his old XT's controller and drive.
