I am almost done absorbing all the comments people have made about 1.3b. There were many. I will post diffs against 1.3b as soon as I can. There are two areas that are currently still in progress-- tty.c and printer.c. The purpose of this message is to ask people for their opinion of the 1.3b printer.c vs. the one Barry McMullin posted recently. I would greatly appreciate it if lots of people would try either or both of these and then send me mail specifying - your machine - PC or AT - which version of MINIX (1.1, 1.2, 1.3a, 1.3b) - which printer - which driver - what happened If enough people respond I can hopefully make a reasonable choice as to which driver seems to be better. My experience with Barry McMullin printer driver was That he developed it for version 1.2 and I am running version 1.3. As such the first time I tried piping output into lpr it locked up my computer printing interrupt 6 error messages on the screen. Anyone on the net willing to debug this driver for version 1.3?
