I am new to MINIX so any help will be greatly appreciated. I am currently trying to get Minix 1.2 running on a Leading Edge Model D. I have a ST-238 with RLL controller and one floopy. When Minix boots I get the normal menu and then I put the ROOT filesytem in drive A:. I then press the = key and I hear a faint beep and then the system goes out to lunch. I have 640K. My question is, is having the hard disk controller in hanging my system or is there a few kernal changes required to make it work on my machine. I eventually want to put MINIX on the hard drive and have it boot from it also but first I want to just get it to work with floppies. If I removed my hard disk controller and put my other floppy back in would I then be able to run Minix until I make the necessary changes to the source for it to work correctly with my hard disk etc... Again any help no matter how little will greatly be appreciated. :-) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Mark Warner | UUCP: uunet!sdrc!diwarner SDRC | Milford Ohio | This space is for rent. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
