[comp.os.minix] MINIX on Jameco JE1017

The Keeper of the Lists can add the Jameco JE1017 (mini-AT) as one of the
systems that Minix 1.2 will run on. Actually, both 1.1 and 1.2 appear to
run successfully, but all my testing has been with 1.2.

One problem - which appears to be a common one - is garbage generating
unwanted hardware interrupts. I cured it by reseating the boards, changing
the floppy-disk cable, and taking out the 1.2 meg floppy. (I think the
real cause was a bad 1.2 meg floppy). Another interesting thing is that a
divide by zero interupt apparently goes back to the original instruction
(and thus does the same stupid divide again!). My Zenith doesn't do this.
But other than these minor things, the system runs great, and provides a
good Minix system for a low cost.
