Dear minix users, I need some help. I am currently working on a project for my college minix class. In short, I have decided on one of the options. The option asks that I change minix in such a way that instead of asking the user for the time and date when it is booted up, it will take the time and date from a calendar chip that is run on a battery to keep time when the computer is turned off. The unit i'm working with is a Zenith data systems ZDF-2255-BK. I asked a systems person here for more info. Here it is for those of you who understand the meaning: * The INT 08H instruction keeps track of time of day. * The chip is an 82C432 used to synchronize all functions for 82C434 * Active transition is high to low. I need to know other things such as what port it is on, whether or not it can be accessed by address by the minix code, etc. How should I approach this project? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Mark J. Paul at Penn State. No sig file, i'm too busy.
