Hello: I'm about to take an operating systems course offered at Sonoma State University in California. The course material includes the MINIX text by Mr. Tanenbaum. The MINIX software used is version 1.1 . Are there any recommendations that the MINIX be upgraded to a higher revision? Also, are there any sites archiving MINIX binaries that can be reached via anonymous FTP? I'd like to go into the Spring 1989 semester completely prepared for the class. Any recommendations as far as setting up a MINIX system on either a vanilla IBM PC or an IBM-AT clone would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
