From: Clyde W Hoover <clyde@utexas-11> Date: 26 May 1982 at 1111-CDT Autobauding is really device-independant (as long as there's a UART in there somewhere). I've got some code that works, but hasn't yet been installed becuase I've yet to shake some final problems with it. I can autbaud from 110 to 9600 with 3 carriage returns, and can detect the range from 300 - 2400 with one. I have a modified getty, a new user-level autobauding program and some minor kernel mods. If decvax!watmath!watarts!eric @ berkeley (or anyone else) is interested, send me mail. Though this is now at user level, it may migrate into the kernel for performance reasons.-------
