[comp.os.minix] printer real slow under SYS V/AT

I have just upgraded a SYS V/AT 2.3 system from a real dumb
printer to an ALPS Allegro 24 and the new printer runs real
slooooooow about a 5 seconds/line.  The printer is fine under
MS/DOS.  Has anyone seen this behaviour or have any clue as
to what may be wrong?
