I've run into a curious situation when using the "tos" program supplied with Minix-ST to read files from the hard disk. Firstly, "tos" wouldn't even look at the hard disk (a Megafile 30) because the sectors per track field of the boot sector was 0. This was easily enough fixed. Now I can read one of my TOS partitions (the smaller one). However, when I try to read the larger one, the process receives a floating point exception and dies. I can't find any use of floating point numbers in the code. What gives? PS: I realize that the supplied "tos" program is buggy; I have already applied the patches posted by H.C. Johnson (thanks!). -- Eric R. Smith email: Dept. of Mathematics 7103_300@uwovax.uwo.ca University of Western Ontario 7103_300@uwovax.bitnet London, Ont.
