I currently have neither a PC, Atari or Amiga. I am interested in having UNIX at home and so have been interested in MINIX as a low cost way in, while also allowing for hacking. I understand the PC is widely supported for MINX and the Atari is just getting started. In deciding on a machine I am currently leaning toward the Amiga, mainly because it has slots and could also act as a PC. So I would like to know if there is any work going on in porting MINIX to the Amiga. Hopefully it should not be too much harder than the Atari port, except for device drivers. They at least are both 68000 based. If I had the Amiga now, I would be willing to help with the port. Please post any information on the port question. I don not want to start a discussion on the merits of different machines, but if you have something to say please email instead of posting, this is for the sack of others reading this group.
