Date: 1 Jun 1982 12:10:11-EDT That dialer combo can identify both vadic 3400 and bell 212/103 response tones. Unfortunately, when you dial, you have to specify which one to use and when you do, the dialer refuses to transfer to the modem until it receives that response. Is there any way to get it to accept either of them and then transfer? Right now, I have to transfer to the modem on end of number for that to be possible. Unfortunately, then I only find out about a busy connection when the modem times out. One bug in the vadic docs: For the end-of-number code to actually work on the 811 dialer, I had to set the line-transfer-mode switches to the one stae not described in the documentation!
